Complimentary Introductory Session
Your initial class (either an individual or a semi-private class) at Pilates Extension will be complimentary. It will involve an assessment and a workout. If you have never done Pilates before, this will give you an opportunity to see what it is like and to decide if you think it is the type of exercise for you without feeling any obligation. If you have done Pilates before at another Studio, you will also receive the initial complimentary session where you will have an assessment done in order for your specific programme to be devised. During this session you can discuss your options in terms of class types that would best suit your needs and combinations of classes that will give you maximum benefit from your Pilates practise.
Individual Pilates Classes (1:1)
These are one-on-one classes customised specifically for your body’s needs. They are the place to start out if you are new to Pilates in order to become familiar with the Pilates repertoire and to understand your body and its movements. They are great for working on specific issues/needs or if you want the benefit from the focused attention. These classes incorporate mat work, equipment and accessories.
Semi Private Pilates Classes (1:2)
The semi-private classes allow for friends, partners, family members or for two people who share similar interest in exercise times to join together for a session. Exercises within these classes will be modified per person to ensure you get the maximum benefit for your individual body whilst still having the motivation of working out with a buddy. These classes incorporate mat work, equipment and accessories.
Stretch Classes (1:1 or 1:2)
Stretch classes are a combination of static and dynamic stretch routines aimed at giving you the opportunity to dedicate specific time to this important portion of your training. It is a great addition to your programme as the active relaxation component as well as having a meditative quality to the class.
Circuit Classes (1:4)
These classes are based on a 6 week programme format involving a combination of mat work, equipment use and accessories at different stations set up throughout the studio. Clients will rotate through the stations spending a set amount of time at each station. It provides a full body workout at the same time as allowing you to really focus on the technique of each exercise and provides a cardiovascular aspect to a Pilates workout.
